Mathison Academy is looking for an enthusiastic after-school teacher/tutor for English classes with students age 4 to 18.

About Us

Mathison Academy offers high-quality courses for students age 4-to-18. Teaching Lego robotics education, scratch, science and arts, Singapore Math, languages education, AP and SAT classes, and much more.

Mathison Academy provides a great learning environment for students who are self-driven and are fascinated with the subjects they choose. Each class is scheduled for 1 to 2 hours long. We offer 1-on-1 class and small group classes with a maximum of 5 students per class. Students will be grouped based on their age and knowledge on the subject. Students vary from kindergarten to grade 12.

Hours

We offer flexible work hours and can schedule classes based on your availabilities. Our schedules are usually fixed once set, so you will be coming for the same student(s) at the same time every week. We ask that our candidates are able to stay with the schedule once negotiated and assigned, for the semester.

We are open weekdays from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm, weekends from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, and holidays.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

- Teaching or tutoring experience preferred

- Education background in relative fields is preferred

- University degree is an asset

- Ability to communicate with parents in Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset (Lessons will be taught in English)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $22.50 to $28.00 /hour
