OVERVIEW
Reporting to the VIP Relations Manager, the primary role of the resort chauffeur will be to provide personalized and luxury transportation service to our most distinguished guests as the first and last impression of Parq Vancouver. The successful candidate will facilitate transportation service, including airport and in-city transfers as well as errand runs, with our luxury collection of vehicles. The resort chauffeur will need to be detail oriented, engaging and respectful in conversation, enthusiastic to work in a fast paced, evolving environment and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely and efficiently service and operate luxury vehicles to and from the airport and within the Lower Mainland as directed by management
• Provide personalized service to our high-end clientele by anticipating the needs of guests, possessing a detailed knowledge of the local area and engaging in warm & sincere conversation
• Provide butler inspired service to our guests including warm or cold towel service, offering chilled water and the opening and closing of vehicle doors
• Facilitate inter-city transfers to procure supplies and specialized products as directed
• Discreetly handle sensitive guest information and be responsible for payment transaction including cash, credit & gas cards, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
• Correctly stock the vehicles with the appropriate amenities pertaining to the nature of the guest and the transfer
• Assist guests with the loading and unloading of luggage into vehicles, lifting and carrying up to 50lbs or more
• Accurately record statistics to personalize the guest experience and ensure proper data collection of guest preferences. Share with appropriate departments & update profiles
• Effectively communicate with guests & dispatch to guarantee precise transportation service
• Clean, wash and provide general maintenance for vehicles
• Properly report deficiencies in vehicle or service to management in a timely manner
• Ensure personal grooming including uniform is immaculate and professional
• Exceed expectations by anticipating the needs of our guests and surprise and delighting them
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of 3 years of luxury chauffeur or valet experience preferably in a hotel or casino
• Working knowledge of resort programming to promote resort, the lower mainland roadway system, local events including sports and concerts and general local area points of interest
• Friendly, professional and outgoing demeanor both with guests and associates
• Bilingual in English and a second language is an asset
• Customer Service orientation with an adaptability to a variety of cultures and personalities
• Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision and resolve problems as they arise
• Communicate effectively & genuinely one on one with customers, the general public and staff
• Flexibility to allow for a work schedule that accommodates the needs of a 24/7 resort operation
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS
• Valid GPEB License
• BCLC Certifications
• Serving it Right Certification
• Valid Class 4 or 5 British Columbia Driver’s License
• First Aid Level 1 or 2 is an asset PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are 50lbs or over
• Required to sit, stand, walk and drive during working hours
