Algo Communication Products Ltd develops and manufactures IP paging, intercom, and alerting products in Burnaby for delivery to global markets. Customers are large enterprises and service providers deploying or managing business class VoIP telephony and communication solutions. Algo was established in Burnaby in 1968.

We have an immediate opening for a Production Team Lead to oversee all aspects of production including forecasting, planning, inventory & supply, assembly, and ensuring delivery commitments are consistently met.

This position requires strong organizational skills along with exceptional interpersonal and leadership qualities to communicate effectively both with other team members and external suppliers. A steady flow of new product development also requires an ability to work effectively with the product development team during the design process to anticipate requirements for rapid proto-type development and ramp up to full production once quality objectives are met. You will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Document Control and R&D for current and new products.

Job Responsibilities

Regularly meet with the sales and marketing team for forecast
Ensure adequate inventory is on-hand
Verify that the supply chain is meeting critical delivery commitments
Manage production schedules with external partners for PCB sub-assembly and turn-key supply
Schedule production according to capacity
Anticipate possible impacts on delivery schedules and resolve issues proactively
Provide accurate and reliable delivery dates to the sales team
Ensure all production activity is in compliance with ISO9001 requirements

Candidate Requirements

Experience relating to electronic assembly
Experience in a supervision or management role
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills
Post-secondary education in a scientific or technical field
Experience relating to MRP/ERP software and purchasing
Basic understanding of electronic design

This is a full time position working from our 4500 Beedie Street Burnaby B.C. facility.
